Gadgets 360 was the first to tell you the Apple Watch is set to launch in India, and now we have exclusive information about the India pricing of Apple's first wearable that's set to launch in the country on November 6.
According to information received by Gadgets 360, the Apple Watch Sport will start at Rs. 30,900 for the 38mm variant. The 42mm variant of the Apple Watch Sport will retail at Rs. 34,900. Both prices are MRP, inclusive of all taxes. It's worth noting that the 38mm and 42mm models retail in the US at $349 (Rs. 22,700 approximately) and $399 (Rs. 25,900 approximately) respectively, before taxes.
Apple is planning to launch the entire Watch lineup in India, with the most expensive model (Apple Watch Edition with Gold Case and Modern Buckle) costing a cool Rs. 14.2 lakhs, compared to its US price of $17,000 (Rs. 11 lakh approximately), before taxes. The full range of bands is also headed to India, with prices starting at Rs. 3,900 for the Sport Band.
In case you are wondering, the Apple Watch (with stainless steel case) will be priced in India between Rs. 48,900 (with Sport band) and Rs. 95,900 (with Link Bracelet). The models cost $549 (approximately Rs. 35,600) and $1,099 (approximately Rs. 71,400) in the US, before taxes.
