Google Search for Android Lets Users Play Music Directly From Results
Google on Thursday added a new feature to its Search app for Android devices. Now when a user searches for any artist or band on their Android smartphones, it gives back a link to play the artist's music right from one of user's installed apps, along with displaying other information.

At present, the feature is limited to Android devices in the US only, and works with Google Play Music, iHeartRadio, Rdio, Spotify, TuneIn Radio and YouTube apps.

"We're working to expand this feature to users worldwide, with their local services like Deezer. We hope all this makes finding and exploring artists and music on Google more fun now that you can listen to the music right away," noted Google on its official Google Search blog.

On Wednesday, the company introduced a new feature to desktop Google search results for businesses, letting users make Hangout voice calls to the primary phone number displayed in the search results.

The phone number associated with a particular establishment will appear in big digits as a 'quick answer' when Google accurately returns the correct establishment in its search results. Users simply have to click on the number, and a Hangouts call will be initiated.

As with other Hangouts voice-calling, users will be able to make free calls to numbers in the US and Canada, but when making calls to other countries charges will apply that are listed here. As of now, it seems that the service has been rolled out to US only and will gradually reach other countries.

"Looking for information and want to get in touch fast? The next time you're searching for a business or place (on desktop), look for the linked phone number that appears as a quick answer," wrote Google's Product Manager for Enterprise Mobility, Mayur Kamat, had said on a Google+ post.
