 
                 
            
            Other major features introduced in the updated Plex app for iOS (version 3.4.0) include play queues and shuffle support; automatic upload of camera roll photos to the media server (requires a Plex Pass subscription); Chromecast no longer requires a Plex Pass subscription. Plex also rolled out an automatic personal media upload to its iOS app.
Plex Android app (version 3.2.8), on the other hand included new improvements for remote controlling Plex players and fixes for remote controlling Chromecast and other remote Plex Players
Announcing the Plex app update for iOS and Android, official blog post said, "You've been very patient, and we're thrilled to announce that Chromecast support is now free for everyone! All you have to do is update to the new releases of our iOS and Android apps, and you can enjoy the absolute best local media app for Chromecast. (And of course, a giant thank you to all the Plex Pass members who supported us during the preview period. You all rock. Namaste.)"
In addition, Engadgetin a report has claimed that Google plans to launch the Chromecast in more countries in coming weeks. Apart from quoting Sunder Pichai at SXSW, who had said the dongle would soon be officially available in 'many more countries', the report also pointed out an image that had been tweeted by a UK retailer, which allegedly shows Chromecast boxes at its warehouse.
Also spotted, was the new support for 50 languages in the updated Chromecast control app for Android. Other features spotted by Android Police in the updated app included references to 5GHz Wi-Fi support, and "TV offers".
For those unaware, Google Chromecast was launched in July 2013 as part of the company's attempt to make it easier for people to access Internet content on their televisions. The Chromecast can be plugged into an HDMI port on flat-panel TVs and brings Netflix, Google's YouTube site and other Internet content.
