Now Bollywood has always caught the eye of the Internet, with a massive fan following. And with the world going digital at a break neck speed, streaming Hindi films on mobiles and tablets is becoming quite a norm. It is not unnatural to see companies latch onto the bandwagon to provide movie-streaming facilities to users.

Singapore-based Spuul, which was formed in 2010, has been doing this for a while, but is now providing users of its updated Android app the option to stream Bollywood movies (or use Google Chromecast to 'cast' them) for free without an account.

With the updated app (v2.2.1), Spuul for Android users can now also download up to 10 movies for offline viewing (called Offline Sync) for free, as opposed to for a $4.99 (roughly Rs. 310) premium subscription when the offline viewing feature was first launched last year.

The new Spuul app for Android also brings other changes, such as Offline Sync performance enhancements for increased speed, and bug fixes.

Offline viewing or sync for Spuul fo iOS version still remains only available for those who are willing to shell out the $4.99 fee every month for the paid subscription.

Spuul is based on an ad-based subscription subscription model that legally provides online Bollywood content to anyone in the world. The content is both paid and free and in order to keep the costs at a minimum the content is supported with advertising. It was founded by Sudesh Iyer Founder of Sony Entertainment TV in India), S Mohan (the Founder of Accellion, buUuk and a number of other technology and venture companies) and senior banker Subin Subaiah (Bankers Trust Company, Deutsche, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Standard Chartered), who is the CEO of the company.
