Fujifilm has unveiled its second interchangeable lens camera X-E1 on Thursday. Featuring 16 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor, the camera comes with OLED electronic viewfinder.

X-E1, the successor of X-Pro 1, has advanced digital processing which enables "multiple exposure". With this option, the user can superimpose two exposures to create a single image.

Company has condensed the overall size of the camera and it is around 30 percent smaller than X-Pro 1 and also adds a pop-up flash. The new camera supports wide ISO range of 200 to 6,400 (expandable to 25,600) and can record full-HD videos at 24 frames-per-second.

Fujifilm also revealed that it has expanded the lens line-up for its interchangeable cameras from three single focal length lenses in the first series to five with an addition of two lenses, a F2.8 super wide 14mm (21mm in 35mm equivalent) single focal length lens and a F2.8-4 zoom lens that covers the shooting range of 18mm to 55mm (27-83mm in 35mm equivalent).

Another line of five unique lenses will be added to the XF lens series in early 2013, making the total to 10 lenses.

"The response we received for X-Pro 1 is overwhelming and it was the true inspiration behind X-E1. The X-E1 features the fast, high-precision "EXR Processor Pro" for quick responses whatever you're shooting. The EXR Processor Pro receives image signals from the complex X-Trans CMOS Sensor and processes the information swiftly ensuring you can move on to your next shot without delay," said, K Tanaka, Managing Director, Fujifilm India.

X-E1 will be available in two variations Silver and Black. The price of the camera is expected to be approximately Rs. 70,000 (body), Rs. 90,000 (complete kit). On the other hand, 14mm XF lens will be sold for Rs. 60,000 (approx.) and 18-55mmXF lens for Rs. 48000 (approx.).
