Call of Duty seems to have struck a deal once again with Microsoft and the DLC for Black Ops 2 is set to arrive first exclusively on Xbox 360. The company didn't announce any official plans, but you can bet it will be similar to the current arrangement that Microsoft has with Activision's Modern Warfare 3. Xbox 360 users that are subscribed to the Elite service will most probably get Black Ops 2 DLC first, followed by all Xbox 360 users, and eventually all other platforms.

The announcement came after an extended gameplay demonstration during Microsoft's E3 2012 press conference. This statement came following the similar deal between Tomb Raider and Microsoft. This is probably the trend Microsoft plans to adopt, of getting exclusive content first rather than broker a whole deal for the game itself.

Another important statement regarding Call of Duty is that there will be no XP event this year. For the less knowing, Call of Duty XP is a Call of Duty convention that took place on September 2-3, 2011 in Los Angeles. The events included a 1,000,000 USD multiplayer tournament played on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as well as a game of paintball played on a life size replica of the map "Scrapyard".

Instead, Activision will host "new experiences" at events such as Gamescom, the German video game show. 100% of the ticket sales to Call of Duty XP 2011 were donated to the Call of Duty Endowment, which is a public benefit corporation which helps soldiers transition to civilian careers after their military service. The company did not reveal whether they would hold a XP event in the future but confirmed that there would be no such event this year.
