After detailing the entertainment services and apps that will come with the Xbox One, Microsoft's next generation gaming console and entertainment centre, in the US, the Redmond giant now offers a video tour of the console's user interface featuring games, apps and TV services.

Corporate Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at Xbox, Yusuf Mehdi, and Chief Product Officer Marc Whitten demonstrated how users can switch between different account profiles, launch apps, games and TV through the Kinect's voice recognition feature and switch between them, via the Dashboard.

The Biometric sign in and personalisation features of the Xbox One's Kinect extends to all users in the house.

The video highlights how users can swiftly jump from one mode (game, live TV, music, movies, sports, Web sites) to another and go back where they left off. It also showcases the consoles multitasking feature that allows users to perform actions or get alerts even when they're in another mode. For instance, users will receive an invite to play a multiplayer game even if they're watching TV.

It also demoes Skype video calls on Xbox One and the Kinect's wide angle 1080p camera that follows the user through its motors.

The demo also features Xbox Live's Game DVR feature, using which a simple voice command can initiate a gameplay recording. One can even record live video while playing a game recording to create commentary clips.

The Xbox One also connects to satellite and cable TV (in the US and some other regions) and even allows navigation through the Electronic Program Guide via Kinect's Voice recognition feature.  It even integrates online video services like Hulu and Netflix with the TV guide. This feature was also demonstrated in the video.

Sony, which is also set to launch the PlayStation 4, had recently revealed the console's software interface through a teaser video.

Microsoft's Xbox One will go on sale November 22 in 13 countries including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States and New Zealand.

The Sony PlayStation 4 will be go on sale from November 15 in North America and in other regions including Europe, Australia and South America from November 29, in time for the busy pre-Christmas season.
