Huawei's sub-brand Honor has been selling phones in India for a while now. Huawei itself only sells the Huawei P9 (Review) and Nexus 6P (Review) officially in India, but Honor caters to a much wider audienc with phones like the Holly 2 Plus (Review) in the sub-Rs. 10,000 space, and the upper-end of the market with the Honor 8 (Review). It also launched the Honor 6X (Review) which is the among the most affordable phones to offer dual rear cameras.
The Honor 8 Lite is the manufacturer's budget offering. The biggest highlight for the phone has to be its glass body design. It sports a 5.2-inch full HD display that makes the phone easy to use with one hand. Powering the phone is a Kirin 655 octa-core processor made by Huawei. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This is a dual SIM device with a hybrid SIM slot. Storage on the phone is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. It has a 12-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The 8 Lite runs Honor's latest EMUI 5.0 on top of Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by a non-removable 3000mAh battery.
