AsusPro BU201, BU401 Business-Oriented Ultrabooks Launched in India

Asus has expanded its business-focused ultrabook offering in India with the launch of the AsusPro BU201 and BU401 models. The AsusPro BU201 and BU401 ultrabooks will be available at Rs. 85,999 and Rs. 89,499 respectively across retailers in India. The Taiwanese company stresses that the new ultrabooks are built for "comfort and productivity."

The AsusPro BU201 and BU401 ultrabooks sport carbon fibre material and also feature military-spec ratings for durability and shock-resistance (MIL-STD 810G).

Under the hood, AsusPro BU201 ultrabook features an Intel Core i5-4210U processor (2 cores, 4 threads, 1.7GHz base clock, up to 2.7GHz Turbo clock) coupled with Intel HD Graphics 4400 and runs Windows 8.1 Professional (64-bit). The ultrabook comes preloaded with Microsoft Office 2013 Trial pack. There is 4GB of RAM and 500GB of hard disk storage (2.5-inch 5400RPM HDD). The ultrabook comes with a 12.5-inch LED display with a full-HD (1920x1080 pixel) resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. There is HD webcam on board, and connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. The ultrabook sports illuminated chiclet keyboard with backlit keys.

The AsusPro BU401 ultrabook also features almost similar specifications as AsusPro BU201 ultrabook. Though, there are few differences such as AsusPro BU401 runs Windows 7 64-bit Professional, which is upgradeable to Windows 8 64-bit Professional. It features a 14-inch LED backlit display with a 1600x900 pixels resolution and supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options. It also comes preloaded with McAfee Internet Security 2012 pack.

Common connectivity options include 3 USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet, 1 headphone-microphone combo port, and 1 VGA port. The AsusPro BU401 sports an HDMI 1.4 port, while the AsusPro BU201 sports a Mini Display Port. Both laptops feature fingerprint sensors.
