Intel-Powered NuPC Ultra Compact PC With Windows 8.1 Launched Starting at Rs. 18,999

WPG, one of the biggest electronics distributors in the world, has partnered with Microsoft and Intel to launch an ultra compact PC in India. NuPC, which has a footprint of 117x112x35mm, is designed to be used in retail and other business cases where physical space is at a premium.

NuPC runs Windows 8.1 and is available in various configuration options. The base configuration powered by Intel Celeron processor with 2GB RAM and 500GB hard disk with a Gigabit Ethernet port, 1 USB 3.0 port, and 2 USB 2.0 ports is priced at Rs. 18,999. You can opt for 4GB RAM and 1TB storage at Rs. 21,999.

Intel Core i3-powered configuration with 2GB RAM, 500GB storage, Gigabit Ethernet, 4 USB 3.0 ports, and 2 USB 2.0 ports will be available at Rs. 29,999. You can double the amount of RAM and storage by paying an extra Rs. 3,000.

NuPC is powered by a bundled 19V 3.42A DC adapter and includes a full-sized HDMI port as well as a 3.5mm mic/ headphone jack. Though targeted at small businesses and other companies looking to build solutions around the ultra compact PC, NuPC can just as easily be used by consumers at their home instead of a regular desktop. Do keep in mind that keyboard, mouse, and monitor are not included with the NuPC.
