Asus ZenFone 2 64GB Storage Variant Price and Availability Confirmed

A new 64GB variant of the Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML has been confirmed by the Taiwanese handset brand. Asus at its Taiwan event last week revealed pricing of the new ZenFone 2 series alongside unveiling new variants of the handset. The company however missed to reveal the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with 64GB inbuilt storage and 4GB of RAM.

Now, the Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage has been confirmed along with a price of TWD 9,990 (approximately Rs. 19,900). It will be going on sale in Taiwan starting March 23 alongside the Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (4GB RAM and 32GB storage).

The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage is also the most premium handset in the ZenFone 2 series.

The new ZenFone-series include the Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (4GB RAM, and 32GB storage) priced at TWD 8,990 (approximately Rs. 18,000); the Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (2GB RAM) at TWD 6,990 (approximately Rs. 13,900); Asus ZenFone 2 ZE550ML at TWD 5,990 (approximately Rs. 11,900), and Asus ZenFone 2 ZE500CL priced at TWD 4,990 (approximately Rs. 9,900).

According to WhatsOnTech, Asus Taiwan is currently taking pre-orders for the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML and ZenFone 2 ZE500CL, which are expected to ship starting March 25.

Apart from Taiwan, the Asus ZenFone 2 will be available in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and France starting in March while other countries such as Italy and other Southeast Asian markets including India will see a launch in April. The Asus ZenFone 2 will be also released in Brazil in June.

The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML, as seen above, will be available in three variants - one with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, second with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB built-in storage, and third with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB built-in storage. All three versions support expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB).

All variants of the Asus ZenFone 2 run the company's new ZenUI based on Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The company last week in Taiwan also launched new accessories named ZenFlash and LolliFlash.
