Asus ZenFone 2, which is set to launch in India at the company's event on Thursday, has already been listed by Flipkart.

The Flipkart listing of the Asus ZenFone 2 is somewhat a teaser to the smartphone launch, as it features a countdown to the India launch. The listing also confirms that the new ZenFone 2 series will be available to buy from the e-commerce website, much like other Asus products. However, we will have to still wait for the Thursday launch to know whether Flipkart will be the exclusive partner for ZenFone 2 phones in India.

The listing only focuses on the top-end variant of the ZenFone 2 featuring 4GB of RAM, the model Peter Chang, Regional Head of South Asia and Managing Director for Asus India had recently stressed the importance of at an event.

Asus India at the ZenFone 2 media preview confirmed earlier this month that it would only launch the 5.5-inch screen variants of the smartphone lineup. This would mean three variants of the ZenFone 2 smartphone will be launched, the ZE551ML (4GB of RAM), ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (2GB of RAM), and the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML (5.5-inch HD display). The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE500CL, which features a 5-inch HD display, will not be launched in India. The Taiwanese company had previously confirmed that it would be bringing three variants of the ZenFone 2 to India and that all the three variants would support Indian LTE bands.

All variants of the Asus ZenFone 2 run the company's new ZenUI based on Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop, and feature Intel Atom SoCs.
