Gionee has introduced the successor to its M2 smartphone, dubbed Marathon M3, by listing it on its India website. Notably, no pricing or availability information is listed alongside, however the smartphone is available to purchase via an e-commerce site at Rs. 13,999.

The major highlight of the Gionee Marathon M3 is that it packs a massive 5000mAh battery, compared to the 4200mAh battery in the M2. The company listing claims the battery can deliver up to 32.46 hours of talk time on 3G, and up to 51 hours of talk time on 2G networks, or 32.8 days of standby time. Gionee had launched the M2 in February this year, alongside the Gpad G4.
