Gionee Pioneer P5L, Gionee CTRL V6L LTE Smartphones Launched in India

Gionee has launched two new LTE-enabled smartphones in India - the Gionee Pioneer P5L and Gionee CTRL V6L, priced at Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000 respectively. The smartphones are compatible with India's 4G LTE frequencies. Alongside, the company also unveiled Gionee Pioneer P4S and Gionee Pioneer P6 smartphones, but hasn't detailed full specifications or pricing.

"Gionee has always kept itself updated with the latest technology advancements and market trends" Arvind.R.Vohra, India Head, Gionee Smartphones said on the new launches. "Continuing our endeavour to provide every customer with the best in technology we are announcing a host of new products and LTE devices will be our key focus."

The dual-SIM Gionee Pioneer P5L runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and features a 4.7-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor coupled with an ARM Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD (up to 128GB).

The Gionee Pioneer P5L sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. On the connectivity front, the Gionee Pioneer P5L includes 4G LTE (compatible with India's 4G bands), 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, FM radio and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone packs an 1800mAh battery.

The Gionee CTRL V6L features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and supports dual-SIM with standby.

Gionee CTRL V6L smartphone comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD (up to 128GB). The primary rear camera on Gionee CTRL V6L is of 8-megapixel with LED flash and there is a front 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. On the connectivity front, the Gionee CTRL V6L includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, FM radio and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone packs a 1950mAh battery.

The Chinese smartphone maker also unveiled Gionee Pioneer P4S and Gionee Pioneer P6 smartphones, though it did not reveal detailed specifications or pricing. The company only said that Gionee Pioneer P4S will feature a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display, and the Gionee Pioneer P6 will come with a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display.
