Google has made the recently leaked Play Store gift cards official. Available in the denominations of $10, $25 and $50, these are currently retailing in the United States only.

According to the search giant, it has tied up with retailers GameStop, Target and RadioShack to sell these cards in their stores. The gift cards will also be available at WalMart.com later this month.

Google has not revealed its plans about the roll-out in other countries including India.

This is certainly a wise decision from the company as not every Android user want to use (or have) a credit card to make purchase from Google Play. This step will also be beneficial to app developers as consumers will now have one more way to pay on Play Store, thus bringing in more sales for devs.

The Google Play gift cards can be used to purchase music, movies, books, apps, games and more from Play Store. You can even use them to purchase in-app goods in your favourite games.

"Over the next few weeks we'll be rolling out Google Play gift cards in stores across the U.S. We've teamed up with Target, GameStop and RadioShack to offer Google Play gift cards," posted Google Play team on Google+.
