HTC Desire 310 has been officially unveiled for the Taiwanese market.

The company has announced that the Desire 310 will be available via mobile operators in Taiwan starting April, though it has not revealed the pricing of the device. There's also no word on plans - if any - to launch the device outside HTC's home market.

Earlier, the HTC Desire 310 was listed on the company's China website, without pricing and availability details. Prior to this, HTC had temporarily listed the Desire 310 on its European website in January. However, soon after, the HTC Desire 310 page was pulled down.

The HTC Desire 310 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and features BlinkFeed and Video Highlights. The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone also features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels.

The Desire 310 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M chipset, coupled with 512MB of RAM. It includes 4GB of built-in storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera, while there is a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The HTC Desire 310 comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, EDGE, GPS, and 3G connectivity options. The smartphone packs a 2000mAh battery. It measures 131.44x68.03x11.25mm and weighs 140 grams.

Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation said on the launch, "Everybody today wants a smartphone that can keep up with them, regardless of whether it is a flagship or entry-level model. The latest addition to our renowned HTC Desire range combines super-fast processing and premium features at a lower price, offering users the best possible experience in this category."

Earlier this month at MWC in Barcelona, the struggling handset maker announced the launch of HTC Desire 816 mid-range handset, alongside the HTC Desire 610, without revealing the pricing and availability details of either of the smartphones.
