Lava Iris 460 With Android 4.4.2 KitKat Launched at Rs. 6,690

Lava has launched the 'fashionable' Iris 460 smartphone at Rs. 6,690 in India. The company says the Lava Iris 460 is available at major retailers (physical/online) across the country.

The Lava Iris 460 is a dual-SIM (GSM+WCDMA) smartphone that is being touted for its faux-leather back cover, which the company says is 'handcrafted.'

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based smartphone features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) IPS display, which translates to a pixel density of 217ppi. A 1.3GHz dual-core processor (unspecified) powers the Lava Iris 460 alongside 1GB of RAM.

The Iris 460 sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, while it also houses a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone includes 4GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The smartphone is currently available in Black and Grey colour variants only, and measures 130x65x8.7mm. The Iris 460 packs a 1650mAh Li-ion battery which is rated to deliver up to 3 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time on 3G network. The smartphone comes with GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity options.

On Wednesday, Lava launched the Iris 400Q at Rs. 5,499 on an e-commerce website. Some of the ley features of the smartphone are 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA TFT display, Android 4.4 KitKat, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB), 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and 1700mAh battery
