LG, the Korean mobile manufacturer currently best known for the Google Nexus 5 and its flagship curved screen smartphone, the LG G Flex, is now rumoured to bring the anticipated next iteration of the LG G Pro next month, along with some high-end specifications.

The yet-to-be-announced LG G Pro 2 is said to come with a 6-inch display size along with a full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixel) resolution. The smartphone is also said to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM, reports ET News. The previous rumoured specifications of the device indicated that the expected G Pro 2 would come with a 5.9-inch display with 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution.

With more QHD screens entering the smartphone and tablet market, it is slightly difficult to expect the firm to come out with a 1080p screen, especially as its Ultra-HD mobile display technology is already being used by other manufacturers - as seen in the Vivo Xplay 3 S.

On the other hand, LG's biggest rival, Samsung, is also expected to come up with a number of QHD displays by next month's Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.

Reports from Korea indicate LG plans to equip an fingerprint scanner on its upcoming rumoured LG Optimus G Pro successor (LG G Pro 2) and the LG G3. The report further indicates that LG might house the fingerprint scanner on the rear panel of the rumoured G Pro successor and G3. We expect that the company might place the fingerprint scanner on the alleged G Pro successor and G3 at the back, much like the HTC One Max.

The firm has been following a new design aesthetic that includes the power and volume rocker buttons at the back panel, already seen on the 2013 flagship smartphone, the LG G2 and the G Flex, while the latter also features a 'self-healing' back panel.
