Micromax's fourth variant of the Canvas Doodle series, the Canvas Doodle 4, is now available to buy via an e-commerce website, priced at Rs. 9,199. So far, there has been no announcement beyond a teaser regarding the launch of the Micromax Canvas Doodle 4, and neither has the smartphone been listed on the company site.

The third-party e-commerce site listing of the Canvas Doodle 4 comes shortly after an established Mumbai-based retailer claimed that the handset was available to buy in India, and detailed its specifications. The retailer on Tuesday however claimed it was available at Rs. 9,499 (MRP Rs. 9,999).

For specifications, Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone which runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 6-inch IPS display, which is the highlight of the smartphone at this price point. The handset sports a screen resolution of 540x960 pixels (contradicting the 720x1280 pixel resolution mentioned by the Mumbai retailer).

It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MTK6582M) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage with no details about expandable storage support. It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 2-megapixel fixed-focus front camera also on board. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery and measures 165.5x85.3x8.5mm. It also includes light, gravity, and proximity sensors.

Much like its predecessors, the Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 is also expected to come with stylus support; though the eBay India listing has no mention of stylus on the handset.

It's worth noting that Micromax India on Tuesday teased the Canvas Doodle 4 launch tipping that the company might launch the handset soon. To recall, Micromax launched the first Canvas Doodle handset back in 2013 priced at Rs. 12,999 while the Canvas Doodle 2 was also launched in the same year and was priced at Rs. 19,990. The last Canvas Doodle 3 smartphone was launched last year at Rs. 8,500.
