The Micromax Canvas Fire 3 (A096) sports dual front speakers, the highlight of the smartphone. Another notable feature of the smartphone is that it sports a metallic finish.
The Canvas Fire 3 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone that runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It features a 4.5-inch (540x960 pixels) qHD IPS display and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582M) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera also on board. The Canvas Fire 3 features sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
On the connectivity front, the handset offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs an 1850mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time, and up to 180 hours of standby time.
The Canvas Fire 3 comes preloaded with M! Live, M! Games, Opera , Swift key, Hike, Clean Master, Games Club, M! Insurance, M! Security, Snapdeal, Truecaller, and Reverie apps.
Micromax last week launched the Canvas Knight 2, a 4G LTE-enabled handset priced at Rs. 16,299. The highlight of the Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Micromax Canvas Knight 2 is that both Nano-SIM card slots support 4G connectivity.
