Nokia has finally unveiled its long-rumoured Treasure Tag accessory at 24.90 euros, which translates to roughly Rs. 2,100.

Nokia's official Conversations blog confirmed the news and also notes that the Nokia Treasure Tag is expected to hit the global market in April 2014.

The blog also reveals that the Treasure Tag accessory can work with Nokia's Lumia phones which run on the Lumia Black update. The Nokia Treasure Tag accessory works with a Treasure Tag app that is available from the Windows Phone Store. Further, the official blog also informed that there will be third-party apps for the Treasure Tag accessory, allowing it to support both Android and iOS devices. However, the Finnish giant has not revealed the availability details of the third-party apps.

The Nokia Treasure Tag can be connected to a Lumia Windows Phone-based device via NFC or Bluetooth (Bluetooth 4.0). The blog post details the functions of the Treasure Tag, "If you leave the house without one or the other, the two will emit a loud tone to alert you of this fact. Should you miss the alert for some reason, don't worry. The clever app will help you to locate the lost item on a map, powered by HERE (maps)."
