  • OnePlus 3 to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
  • The smartphone may be unveiled on June 14.

OnePlus 3 leaks are picking up pace, and because of the smartphone's certification procedures in US and China, details on the upcoming OnePlus device have surfaced aplenty. Back in the day, when OnePlus 3 leaks had just begun, a 6GB RAM variant was heavily rumoured. Recent leaks, however, all pointed at a 4GB RAM. But now a fresh Tenaa listing has restored faith that we may possibly be treated with both RAM options.

The Tenaa listing reveals that the OnePlus 3 will be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM options. If this is true, it will be bundled alongside different storage variants, and the 6GB of RAM may hold only true for the higher storage variant (possibly 64GB), and not the base option.

The listing also reveals that the OnePlus 3 will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based OxygenOS out-of-the-box. Reiterating previous leaks, it is codenamed OnePlus A3000 and comes with LTE support.

Past leaks suggest that the OnePlus 3 will see the revival of NFC, a feature that was dropped in the OnePlus 2. The upcoming smartphone will sport a revamped sleek metal design, getting rid of the sandstone back cover. The smartphone is also rumoured to sport a Snapdragon 820 SoC, a 5.5-inch display, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The smartphone is widely expected to launch on June 14. OnePlus has unveiled that the event will be conducted on a virtual reality space station, and users globally can attend through a VR headset. The company is selling Loop VR headsets on Amazon India from June 3 to June 7 for Rs. 1 on Amazon India. However, OnePlus asserts that the event can be watched without a headset as well.
