OnePlus, after making its One flagship available without invites 'forever', on Tuesday revealed its first carrier agreement with the Malaysian operator - Maxis. The agreement also represents the first offline sales model for the company via retail stores of the carrier.

As a part of the deal, OnePlus will make its One smartphone available to Malaysian consumers exclusively through Maxis. This will also mark Malaysia as the first country to sell OnePlus One handsets via offline stores without invites.

"As we grow, it is increasingly important to work with the right partners who will provide the best experience for our users. Going offline is a first for us and we're very happy to have found a solid partner in Maxis with whom we can take our first steps", said Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus on reaching the milestone.

We are proud to be working with another cool and innovative brand that holds such individuality around the world. With an attractive MaxisONE plan package and a superior data network, our customers can expect nothing short of a thrilling mobile experience," said Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Maxis' Head of Consumer Business.
