Samsung says Galaxy S III 64GB version coming later this year

Amid reports of the axing of Galaxy S III 64GB model, the Korean manufacturer has confirmed to Android Central that the 64GB version of the its flagship is still very much alive and due sometime in this half of the year.

"The 64GB model of the GALAXY S III will be available during the second half of this year. The market availability and timing may vary and will be determined at the time of release," company stated.

Earlier, an UK retailer had started cancelling the pre-orders for the smartphone stating that company has decided against releasing it, leading to reports that Samsung might have scrapped the launch plans due to low demand.

The smartphone, which was announced in London on May 4, features 4.8-inch HD display, 8MP camera, S-Voice and 1.4GHz quad core processor.
