Sony starts rolling out ICS update for Xperia P

Sony Xperia P users will get a notification on their smartphones, when the update is available. Company notes that while most of the users will be able to update the device over-the-air, in some cases customers might have to use the PC Companion or Bridge for Mac software.

Update change-log

• New media applications - "Walkman", "Album" and "Movies"
• Extended standby mode, increasing standby time by up to four times
• Improved lock-screen
• Resizable widgets
• Improved control of mobile data consumption
• Recent Apps button

Company also revealed that Xperia U, Xperia sola and Xperia go are next in line to get the Ice Cream Sandwich update.

Sony Xperia P currently runs on Android 2.3 and features 4-inch display, 1GHz dual-core processor and 8MP camera.
