Sony Xperia 10 VIII is said to be announced this week. This launch is said to take place as soon as August 25, 2026. While earlier rumours about the device pointed to leaked IMEI codes, we now have a clear image of it, showing its rear panel in all its glory. This also gives us an idea of the specifications of this upcoming smartphone from Sony. With a previously rumoured Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, the device is also expected to arrive as a mid-range model this year.

Sony Xperia 10 VIII Key Details Leaked Online

A leaked image of the upcoming Sony Xperia 10 VIII has been revealed by Android Headlines. The smartphone is a successor to the Xperia 10 VII, which was released last year. The image shows a more refined and mature design compared to the previous model, even though it remains familiar.

The Sony Xperia 10 VIII's overall design has undergone some minor changes. Its frame now appears to have more defined edges compared to the smoothed edges of the previous model. A main change is to do with the camera island. While the Xperia 10 VII's camera (which was also capsule-shaped) was made of metal, the new Xperia 10 VIII's camera island appears to be moulded out of the same material used for its back. It now gives the impression of a floating camera island.

The placement of the two cameras and the LED flash unit remains the same as before. The same goes for the ‘Sony' logo, which remains in the same place on the camera module itself. The white finish also seems to be swapped for a lighter, greener finish.

As per a previous report, the phone is said to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC this year. The smartphone is reported to be paired with 8GB of RAM. As we can tell from the leaked image itself, there are two rear-facing cameras. The currently available Xperia VII also has a similar dual-rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary and 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor. The phone has a 5,000 mAh battery, which is also expected to remain the same on the newer model.
