Sony Xperia go available for pre-order at Rs. 18,999

The recently announced Sony Xperia go smartphone is now on pre-order in India. Released in May along with Sony Xperia acro S, it is now listed on Flipkart with an expected price tag of Rs. 18,999.

According to the listing, the smartphone will start shipping in the third week of July.

The Sony Xperia go is a water and dust proof smartphone, which runs on Android 2.3. Sony is claiming that an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich is on the cards but no specific time frame has been shared for the same. Other specifications of Sony Xperia go include 5MP rear camera, 1GHz dual-core processor and 8GB on board storage.

Just like some of the other Sony Xperia smartphones, Xperia go too will come pre-loaded with Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited apps from Sony Entertainment Network.

Now that Sony Xperia go has made an appearance, one expects that Xperia acro S too will be available shortly.
