Swipe Technologies has launched a new budget smartphone in India, the Swipe Elite 4G, and is claiming the distinction of the "most affordable 5-inch 4G smartphone with Gorilla Glass" for it. Priced at Rs. 3,999, it is now available exclusively via Flipkart. The e-commerce site has listed a launch offer of up to Rs. 3,500 off on exchange, and extra 5 percent off if using Axis Bank Buzz credit cards.
The Swipe Elite 4G is a dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) smartphone that runs Android 6.0.1. Marshmallow. It sports a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display, and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
As for optics, the Swipe Elite 4G bears an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash, and a 5-megapixel front camera. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, Micro-USB, and FM radio. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. It is powered by a 2500mAh non removable battery, measures 145.2x73x9.6mm, and weighs 147 grams.
