Vivo X7, X7 Plus With 4GB of RAM, 16-Megapixel Front Camera Launched

Chinese manufacturer Vivo has launched its X7 and X7 Plus smartphones in its home country. Priced at CNY 2,498 (approximately Rs. 25,000), the Vivo X7 will go on sale in China starting July 7 while the Vivo X7 Plus will be available starting July 15. The company will be announcing the pricing for the X7 Plus at the time of local release. Both the smartphones will be available in Gold and Rose Gold colours.

The Vivo X7 and Vivo X7 Plus launch comes just few months after the unveiling of the Vivo X6S and Vivo X6S Plus.

The Vivo X7 and X7 Plus come with a lot of identical features such as unibody metal design and 16-megapixel front camera, which is also highlight of both the devices. The front cameras are also accompanied by an LED flash. The handsets also sport a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded into the physical home button, and 4GB of RAM. Under the hood, both the X7 and X7 Plus are powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 652 (MSM8976) processor clocked at 1.8GHz. and come with 64GB inbuilt storage.

For specifications, the dual-SIM Vivo X7 features a 5.2-inch (1080x1920 pixels) full-HD Super Amoled 2.5D display and run Funtouch OS 2.5.1 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The X7 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF (phase detection auto focus).

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G, and Micro-USB. The company listing confirm that the Vivo X7 is compatible with Indian LTE bands. It measures 147.3x71.8x7.2mm and weighs 151 grams. The handset is backed by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.

The Vivo X7 Plus, on the other hand, features a 5.7-inch (1080x1920 pixels) full-HD Super AMOLED 2.5D display. The company listing confirms there will a 128GB inbuilt storage model.

The dual-SIM X7 Plus runs Funtouch OS 2.5.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery which also supports fast charging. The Vivo X7 Plus comes with same connectivity options as the X7. It measures 158.8x77.9x7.4mm and weighs 183 grams.
