Xolo A550s IPS With 4-Inch Display Now Available Online at Rs. 5,599

Xolo on Tuesday introduced a new budget smartphone, the A550s IPS, listing it on its site at Rs. 5,799 without detailing official availability.

The Xolo A550s IPS is now available online via a third-party retailer at a discounted price of Rs. 5,599.

The Xolo A550s IPS is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device which runs the now-dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It comes with a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA IPS display and offers a pixel density of 233ppi.

The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572M) processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU. The Xolo A550s IPS comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The rear camera features scene detection, face recognition, Panorama, geo tagging, Best shot, Smile shot, and HDR options.

On the connectivity front, the Xolo A550s IPS offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 1400mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 21 hours of talk time and up to 630 hours of standby time on 2G network. The Xolo A550s IPS measures 125x63.9x9.1mm and is available in Black colour on Flipkart.

Recently, Xolo launched its first Windows Phone 8.1 handset, the Win Q900s, listed on the official site with a 'buy now' option and a price of Rs. 11,999. Xolo also launched the Android version of the handset, called Xolo Q900s, priced at Rs. 9,999.
