IoT statup Smartron has been around for over a year, but is only a three-product-young company. Since 2016, it has managed to rope in some big names from the tech industry to fill various roles in the company, including Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, who is an investor and has become a brand ambassador for the company. In the past, we’ve tested the Smartron t-book (Review) and the t.phone (Review), which were not bad for debut offerings but still needed lots of polish in order to seriously compete in their respective markets.
The srt.phone is the company's second smartphone, and it's targeted at the mainstream audience. With prices starting at Rs. 12,999, it’s a lot more affordable that the t.phone. We’ll be testing the higher end version today which features more RAM and twice the storage but still costs less than Rs. 15,000.
We have a feeling the srt.phone will have some instant fans, purely because of the man that Smartron says inspired it. But is that reason enough to rush out and buy this phone? Let’s find out.
Smartron srt.phone Summary
The srt.phone is the second model from Smartron and is targeted at mainstream users. The curved edges and corners make it easy to grip but we wish the phone has some metal in the construction for a more premium feel. The 5.5-inch display is bright and vivid with good viewing angles. The srt.phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, and the higher priced variant has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There’s also NFC but no expandable storage. App and system performance is very good thanks to the stock Android 7 Nougat. Smartron has its tron.x app which lets you manage cloud backups, access an e-store for buying Smartron products, and reach out to customer care. The cameras are disappointing as images often lack depth and detail in daylight and exhibit lots of chroma noise at night. The 3000mAh battery offers decent runtime but doesn’t hold up too well for continuous video playback.

Excellent mobile under 10kVenkat Ramana (Jan 21, 2019) on Gadgets 360 RecommendsI am using this mobile from the past 1year....Really thanks to smartron for providing this kinda mobile under 10k....Apart from camera,every other feature is very nice when compared with the mobiles which have market price in the range 10-20k. On the other hand, rear camera is good...front camera is not up to the mark....If anyone searching for mobile under 10k....don't think about any other mobile....go with SMARTRON SRT...Is this review helpful?

I think they just read "3000 mah" in specification and gave "7" points. It's hardware is quite efficient and even after having high power consuming processor "SD 654" and 3000 mah battery, it performs for longer time.Is this review helpful?
