Facebook's rumoured music service could be called Facebook Vibes, reported CNET. Apparently, the name was hidden in the new Skype powered video calling functionality.

The name was spotted in the code for the video calling software by software developer and open source hacker, Jeff Rose.

The code name in question was found in a file called FacebookVideoCalling.jar, which contained a bunch of javascript files and had the name of the video calling plugin com.facebook.peek and a second application, com.facebook.vibes.

We know that the video chat functionality is not called Peek so we are not sure if the music service will end up as Facebook Vibe. But the introduction of this service is likely in the wake of Google+. The music service could be the exact differentiator Facebook needs at the moment as all the innovation kudos are going Google's way.
