Just ahead of the event, serial tipster @evleaks has revealed the purported specifications of the expected new Galaxy Tablet S series, rumoured to feature 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch variants with OLED displays.

The event will start at 4:30am IST on June 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Last month, the South Korean giant had sent out invites for the 'Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 Tab Into Colour' event.

While the event is just few hours away, @evleaks has listed almost all the purported specifications of both variants. From the list of specifications, it seems that both the anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. Also, both the as-yet-unannounced tablets in their respective 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch display sizes are said to feature the same WQXGA (2560x1600 pixel) resolution.

The leaked specifications detail that the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will come with either an Exynos (quad-core 1.9GHz + quad-core 1.3GHz) or Snapdragon (quad-core 2.3GHz) SoC, depending on the region.

According to the @evleaks leak, 3GB of RAM is standard across both the 16GB or 32GB inbuilt storage variants of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5. The inbuilt storage can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). Cameras on both Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 are the same, featuring a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

The leak also reveals the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 weighs 298 grams for the Wi-Fi only variant and 294 grams for Wi-Fi/LTE variant, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 weighs 465 grams for the Wi-Fi only variant and 467 grams for Wi-Fi/LTE variant, although the thickness is said to be the same for all variants - at 6.6mm.

Earlier there were reports claiming that Samsung will offer four variants in the new series, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4-inch Wi-Fi (SM-T700) and LTE (SM-T705), as well as the Galaxy Tab S 10.5-inch Wi-Fi (SM-T800), and LTE (SM-T805). One of the tablets has also been spotted in leaked live images before, suggesting a design similar to the Galaxy NotePRO.
