Now by typing weather in Google search on your tablet, you'll be greeted by the new weather widget that displays the weather forecast of your current location. You can also check the weather of any other city by typing its name alongside weather in search box or even check by adding ZIP codes.
The widget, which is similar to the one present on Android and iOS, shows hourly readings of the temperature with wind speed/direction, humidity and precipitation as well. It also houses the 10-day forecast. The mobile versions are restricted to a three or five day forecast based on the screen size of the user's device.
The widget draws on elements from recently announced Android's Google Now feature, which learns from a user's search behavior and other related patterns to show not just weather updates, but also calendar appointments, traffic updates and other such information.
