Lava launches Android 4.0 tablet for Rs. 5,899

Lava has made a foray into the growing tablet market with E-Tab Z7H. We had earlier shared the existence of this tablet when it was listed on shopping portal Flipkart.com.

Lava E-Tab Z7H runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich (version 4.0.3) and sports 7-inch TFT LCD display. The other features of this tablet include 1.2GHz Cortex-A8 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory, 2800 mAh battery and 3G dongle support. There is also 0.3 megapixel camera on-board and is priced at Rs.5,899.

Lava has also added its custom Flick UI to make the Android experience of this tablet, which adds features like pinch to zoom and makes navigation smooth and easy.

Lava's Fusion App, which offers unlimited music and video access on the go too comes pre-installed on this tablet. The Indian handset maker has also tied up with Hungama.com, Mc-Graw-Hill, and Flipkart to offer educational and entertainment apps on this tablet.

Under this partnership, Lava ETAB Z7H comes pre-loaded with 14 e-books, which includes
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's Envisioning an Empowered Nation, Word Power, Dhiru Bhai Ambani's Biography etc.
