Lenovo Tab S8 With 4G LTE and Voice-Calling Support Launched at Rs. 16,990

Lenovo has launched its new voice-calling tablet in India, the Tab S8, priced at Rs. 16,990. The Lenovo Tab S8 will be exclusively available via Flipkart starting Monday.

Initially announced at IFA this year, the Tab S8 is being sold and marketed as Lenovo S8 Tablet in India.

The highlight of the new Lenovo tablet is it comes with single SIM support with voice-calling apart from 4G LTE connectivity support.

The Tab S8 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, and sports an 8-inch WUXGA (1920x1200 pixels) IPS display powered by One Glass Solution touch-panel technology. It offers a pixel density of 283ppi.

A quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor (4 threads, 1.33GHz base clock, up to 1.86GHz) and 2GB of RAM powers the tablet. The Tab S8 tablet comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage with no expandable option listed.

It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera (f/2.2 lens) with an LED flash and BSI 2 sensor, while there is a secondary 1.6-megapixel HD fixed focus front-facing camera also onboard.

Apart from 4G LTE, the Lenovo Tab S8 includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The Lenovo Tab S8 tablet packs a non-removable 4290mAh Li-ion battery, which is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of usage time and up to 396 hours of standby time.

The company touts that the Tab S8 tablet sports dual front-facing speakers powered by Dolby Audio. It measures 209.8x123.8x7.9mm, weighs 299 grams, and is available in Ebony colour.
