The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is about a month away and leaks on various devices have started to pour in. Samsung has garnered quite a bit of attention in the past few weeks and we recently learnt that the Korean manufacturer will be bringing the next generation Galaxy tablets under the Galaxy Tab 3 branding. While the 7-inch version has been dropped, the 8-inch and 10.1-inch variants are very much on the cards.

PhoneArena has caught hold of images of one of these versions and it isn't exactly clear which one. The model number on a sealed unit of the tablet is mentioned but is too blurry to be seen. We do know that it will be prefixed by 'GT'.

The interface spotted in one of the images of the tablet featured on the box shows stock Android and we know it's fake since Samsung never uses stock Android.

Just a day ago, we saw reports that Samsung has cancelled the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and may instead go ahead with the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, that will be dependent on how the Galaxy Note 8.0 sells.

Additionally, Samsung is also making efforts to bring the  Android-based Galaxy Tab 3 Plus or P8200 to the market. This is the high-end tablet we reported earlier that is expected to come in 16 and 32GB variants. Furthermore, a second generation Galaxy Note 10.1 codenamed Vienna may also be in the works.

We recently reported about Samsung's expected tablet line-up likely to launch this year. The next generation Galaxy Tab 3 devices  will include now include 8-inch, 10.1-inch and the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus versions that will be launched in separate Wi-Fi and LTE variants as well.

Speaking of Samsung tablets, the company's Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 has been launched in a limited edition Garnet Red version in the US that runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean straight out of the box. The device is priced at $219.99 and will be a Wi-Fi only version. It is expected to become available later this week at Walmart, Amazon, Office Depot, Fry's, Tiger Direct, Toys'R'Us among other retailers.

The most notable specs on the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 include 7-inch 1024×600 TFT display, 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor, 8GB internal storage, 3-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras and a 4,000mAh battery.
