Simmtronics XPAD Freedom voice-calling tablet launched at Rs. 13, 999

Simmtronics has launched its latest XPAD tablet, the XPAD Freedom for the Indian market at Rs. 13,999. The tablet is also listed on Flipkart with a 'coming soon' tag. Simmtronics is also offering a free tablet cover worth Rs. 1,999 with every XPAD Freedom tablet.

With the launch of the XPAD Freedom tablet, Simmtronics has expanded its XPAD tablet portfolio that already includes XPAD-XQ1, XPAD X-722, XPAD X720, XPAD 801, XPAD X1010 and XPAD 802 tablets.

The Simmtronics XPAD Freedom tablet comes with a 7.8-inch IPS display with 1024x768 pixels resolution. The tablet is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device with voice-calling support.

It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The tablet includes 8GB of inbuilt storage, which further expandable up to 32GB with the help of microSD card. It sports dual cameras - a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Simmtronics XPAD Freedom tablet runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It packs a 5,000mAh battery which the company claims can deliver up to 5 hours of Web browsing time and up to 6 hours of video browsing time. Connectivity options on the tablet include Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, Micro-HDMI and 3G. The tablet comes preloaded with apps like Documents To Go, Skype, BIGFLIX, YouTube among others.

Commenting on the launch, Indrajit S Sabharwal, Managing Director, Simmtronics said, "We are very enthralled with the introduction of this new tablet. This customized tab is designed for technology lovers who wish to use both 3G and 2G in a single device, which is enriched with a quad-core processor. We have manufactured a unibody enclosure and refined to process to be even more material-efficient and extract with tolerances measured in microns, mono-crystalline diamond cut-edges and sleek metallic finishes, designed to satisfy high-standards."

Earlier this year, Simmtronics launched XPAD Mini tablet with Android 4.2 launched for Rs. 9,999.
