Vizio which till a little time ago was known as a consumer electronics company is now trying to make its presence felt in the tablet space. The company launched Vizio MT11x tablet at the CES 2013. It has a 11.6-inch screen and supports full-HD (1920x1080) display.

Vizio MT11x is powered by an AMD Z60 dual-core 1GHz processor with 2GB RAM and runs on Windows 8. It is 10.16 mm thick and supports ten-fingers touch. Vizio MT11x sports a micro-HDMI port, 64GB SSD and 2-megapixel front camera. There are no details available regarding the battery of this tablet.

The company is so far tight lipped about the price of Vizio MT11x but Vizio is known for its aggressive pricing strategy and is expected to follow the same for its tablet range as well.

Not much can be speculated on the performance of Vizio MT11x but it is expected that AMD Z60 dual-core 1GHz processor will give better performance nVidia's Tegra 3, which powers the Microsoft Surface. On the downside, the AMD processors give a shorter battery life and the same might be true for Vizio tablet as well.
