Yahoo has started rolling-out its overhauled Yahoo Mail app for the iPad, bringing access in a new layout to mails, news and a Google Now-like personalised stream. The same update was rolled-out for iPhones and iPod touch in April this year, and for Android in May.

The app for iPad will let users experience the same features, including email, news, weather, finance, sports, and videos, as the Yahoo Mail app for the iPhone and iPod touch.

The Yahoo Mail app for iPad also lets users access digital magazines on themes like Yahoo Food, Yahoo Beauty, Yahoo Movies, Yahoo Tech and Yahoo Travel. These digital magazines can be easily accessed via the side panel on the screen.

"Yahoo Digital Magazines are just like your favourite glossy magazines created for the digital world. Inspired by visually driven storytelling, they carry distinctive editorial voices from well-known tastemakers such as Julia Bainbridge, Paula Froelich, David Pogue, Josh Wolk and Bobbi Brown," stated Andrew Molyneux, Senior Product Manager, Yahoo Mail on the official blog. He also added that Apple iPad users could simply tap on the magazines for full screen and read through by swiping from left to right.

The new Yahoo Mail for iPad also brings the Today icon, tapping on which will lead users to everyday information such as weather forecast, sports scores, stock quotes and popular videos.

The new Yahoo Mail for Apple iPad is now available only for US region via the App Store. However, we assume the same to rollout in other regions as well within next few days.
