While Sony has been mum about its plans for PlayStation VR (PS VR) in India for awhile now, this might not be the case for much longer. IGX or Indian Games Expo as it’s also known, will be taking place at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai from October 15 to 16. And in the run up to this, the official IGX Twitter account teased PS VR will be playable at the event.

“Immerse yourself into a whole new world of games. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN INDIA. Stay tuned,” the IGX account tweeted. Along with this was a close-up of PS VR along with the PlayStation logo.

In order to be the first to check out PS VR, you’ll need to sign up for IGX. You can do so right now on the official website or do so at the event itself.

Furthermore, there’s IGX Game Face - a cosplay competition with a Rs. 1,00,000 prize pool and games such as Mafia 3, WWE 2K17, FIFA 17, and PES 2017 to check out among other yet to be announced games.

The first year of IGX was an honest representation of the consumer gaming scene in the country, unlike India's many Comic Con events, which have over the years devolved into a crowded bunch of known stores selling merchandise and little else. How it evolves in its second year will be interesting to see.
