If you're a Marvel fan and haven't bought any of the Marvel-related downloadable content for LittleBigPlanet or its sequels, consider doing so before the end of the year. The game's licensing of Marvel characters has been severed, and Sony announced that all the DLC packs will be removed on Thursday.

That includes a Marvel level-creation kit for the original game - 2008's LittleBigPlanet for PlayStation 3. Also on the way out is the Marvel Arcade Pack for the PS Vita-version of LittleBigPlanet, which came out in 2012.

On top of that and most visibly are the six costume packs - four for the first game and two for its 2011 sequel, LittleBigPlanet 2. The costume packs provided a total of 30 costumes from Disney's superhero world, such as Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, and Captain America among others.

Licensing agreements expiring can inconvenience gamers, and it is unknown at this time if Sony plans to spend again to get them back from Disney, considering the hundreds of different add-ons - apart from Marvel ones - that are available.

But since the Marvel DLC is going away soon, Sony is offering them on discount. You can pick up the DLC for as little as Rs. 166 for a single costume to Rs. 415 for the Marvel Arcade Pack. If you've already bought them or buy them now, you will able to re-download them even after they are removed this week.
