  • CD Projekt RED confirms that The Witcher 3 will not get PS4 Pro support
  • This is due to the company working on other titles like Cyberpunk 2077
  • For its part, Sony confirmed a list of PS4 Pro titles last week

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of our favourite games of this generation. While it’s only got better with each expansion, developer CD Projekt RED has confirmed to a fan that it won’t be supporting the PS4 Pro.

According to a post on Reddit, user govind1262 shared his interaction with the studio:

“Thank you for your feedback and your question. I’m afraid that we have no plans to release the PS4 Pro edition for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Our teams are currently working very hard on our upcoming projects such as Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and Cyberpunk 2077. We want to be entirely focused on the development of these projects.

Thank you for your support and understanding in this matter.”

At Sony’s PlayStation Meeting last week a host of games that would be getting enhanced support for the PS4 Pro were announced. The Witcher 3 was surprisingly not on the list. Nonetheless, it would be safe to expect a more consistent framerate of The Witcher 3 on the PS4 Pro versus what it is on the original PS4.

The PS4 Pro will be available internationally from November 10 at $399 (around Rs. 26,500). No India release date has been announced just yet. Safe to say, you should expect it next year, given that the PS4 was only available in January while the rest of the world saw a November release due to BIS regulations.
