As part of its nationwide plan to create a blueprint for the digitization of non-urban India, Intel has inaugurated Unnati Kendras across 10 towns in Telangana.

Under the "Ek Kadam Unnati Ki Aur" programme, Intel India will collaborate with 10 Common Service Centres (CSCs) in the districts of Warangal, Nalgonda, Medak, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Adilabad, and Ranga Reddy, to drive the relevance of PC adoption.

Each Unnati Kendra will be equipped with Intel-powered devices, local language content, and relevant training modules for non-urban citizens, creating opportunities for skill development and digital empowerment, said a company statement.

Trained personnel at these centres will conduct in-depth sessions on digital literacy, computer skills and internet facilities every week, along with dedicated guidance sessions in entrepreneurship, language and vocational training to improve citizen education and employability.

"We set up the first Unnati Kendra at Nadimpalli village, south of Hyderabad, with a population of approximately 1,000 people. This village is on its way to becoming a digital village, and hope to replicate the same success story across the country," said Debjani Ghosh, vice president for sales and marketing group, and managing director for South Asia at Intel.
