Today, we can't live without our apps and gadgets, and it's the same for everyone, including the people who make the products that we all use and love. Personally Tech is our weekly column about the different pieces of tech that leaders from all walks of life can't live without.

In the past, we've gotten some great app recommendations from people like author Shweta Taneja, and Grohe boss Ramesh Kaushik. Bacardi India marketing head Manish Seth still loves his old Sony Walkman, and that made us remember our favourite retro gadgets too.

What are three apps (mobile/ tablet or PC/ Mac) you couldn't live without?
Vishal Dhupar
: If I like a song but can't identify the name or the artist I simply Shazam it. Since my schedule involves a lot of travel for business meetings and conferences, I also use the Jet Airways app a lot. Pulse is a news app that keeps me updated on sectors I closely follow.

What is your dream gadget/ technology setup?
Vishal Dhupar
: I am looking forward to the future automobile, with next generation infotainment. How has technology changed the way in which you work?
Vishal Dhupar
: Business has become much faster paced and digital than when I started working 28 years ago. Business today is 24/ 7 with lines between home/ office and personal/ professional time blurring. Technology has allowed me to be seamlessly connected to colleagues, company information, and news and much more in an efficient manner, while allowing me to choose when to switch on and off. This allows me to be extremely productive while ironically maintaining a strong work life balance.
