Idea to launch new dual-SIM Android smartphone for Rs. 5,994

Idea Cellular is expected to announce a new dual-SIM smartphone, Idea ID 918 on June 15 in the country. This handset will be priced at Rs. 5,994, and has already been listed on Idea Cellular's official website.

The smartphone runs on Android 2.3 and comes with features like 3.2-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, 3.2 MP camera, 150 MB internal storage, and 512 MB RAM. It will also come with support for expandable memory up to 32GB via a microSD card.

In terms of connectivity options, Idea ID 918 will offer Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS capabilities. To order to give the user more choice in terms of colours, the phone comes with changeable back covers.

Telecom operators in India have increasingly started offering bundled smartphones. After Idea blade and Idea ID 280, this is the third Android smartphone launched by Idea Cellular.

Idea is also offering special benefits to its users with ID 918. From 3G packages to free recharges, buyers will get benefits worth Rs. 2340 with every purchase of the device.
