Apple's next iPhone offering is supposed to come packed with new hardware and minimal design changes. The latest information tips at a possible bump in battery life, while leaked images of Lightning-powered EarPods tip the anticipated demise of the 3.5mm headphone jack. A separate leak also tips the prices of the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 7 Pro.

A leak from tipster Onleaks indicates that Apple is also increasing the battery life to 1960mAh in the iPhone 7. Notably, the iPhone 6s had a 1715mAh battery. This is probably done to accommodate all the new hardware, mainly the new A10 processor that is expected to be more powerful than its predecessor. In any case, it doesn't seem like a sufficiently major upgrade to ward off those battery woes. One of the most painful problems an iPhone user faces is poor battery life, and looks like Apple isn't making significant upgrades to solve it yet.

The images, sourced out of Weibo (via 9to5Mac), show Lightning-powered EarPods in high resolution from all angles. If real, the images tip that Apple is indeed ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack, and asking users to either switch to Bluetooth earphones for audio support, or make do with these new EarPods that will possibly be bundled with the iPhone 7. Another implication of the removal of the headphone jack would be Cupertino giant is looking to add water resistance to the smartphone. Earlier, a leak also pointed to a possibility that Apple may just bundle the regular 3.5mm EarPods with an additional 3.5mm-to-Lightning adapter alongside for users to make the switch.

As for the pricing leak, once again through Weibo (via Digit), the 32GB variant of the iPhone 7 is said to be priced at CNY 5,288 (roughly Rs. 52,900), the 64GB variant at CNY 6,088 (roughly Rs. 60,900), and the 256GB at CNY 7,088 (roughly Rs. 70,900). The iPhone 7 Plus is expected to be priced at CNY 6,088 (roughly Rs. 60,900) for the 32GB variant, CNY 6,888 (roughly Rs. 68,900) for the 128GB variant, and CNY 7,888 (roughly Rs. 78,900) for the256GB variant. The iPhone 7 Pro is expected to be priced at CNY 7,088 (roughly Rs. 70,900) for the 32GB variant, while the 128GB variant is said to cost CNY 7,888 (roughly Rs. 78,900), and the 256GB variant is expected to come for CNY 8,882 (roughly Rs. 88,900).

The iPhone 7 is expected to shift the antenna bands to the edges, and sport a Force Touch Home button. The company will introduce a dual camera setup for the large iPhone 7 Plus variant, alongside a smart connector at the back. There is also expected to be three variants of the iPhone this year - iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 7 Pro. Furthermore, Apple is expected to offer new storage options namely - 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB.
