Lava Iris 100 Lite Dual SIM Android Smartphone Launched at Rs. 3,049

Lava, soon after launching the Iris 348 and Iris 349 Sleek smartphones, has now listed the Iris 100 Lite on the company's site. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 3,049.

So far, there are no official availability details of the Lava Iris 100 Lite, but we expect the company will announce the smartphone in the coming days.

The dual-SIM based Iris 100 Lite runs dated Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It comes with a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA TFT display offering a pixel density of 231ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz single-core (Cortex A5) processor coupled with 256MB of RAM.

It comes with 512MB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also on board. On the connectivity front, the Lava Iris 100 Lite offers GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. Unfortunately, there is no 3G connectivity support.

The Lava Iris 100 Lite packs a 1400mAh battery rated to deliver up to 240 hours of standby time. It measures 123.6x63.5x10.9mm, weighs 100 grams, and will be available in Black and White colours.

On Thursday, Lava's Iris 348 and Iris 349 Sleek were officially listed at Rs. 3,099 and Rs. 2,999 respectively. Both the Lava Iris 348 and Iris 349 Sleek feature nearly identical specifications such as a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 pixels) TFT display; single-core processor clocked at 1GHz; 256MB of RAM; 512MB of inbuilt storage, and expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). Both smartphones sport a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash while also housing a 0.3-megapixel front camera. Unfortunately, both the dual-SIM based Iris 348 and Iris 349 Sleek handsets don't support 3G connectivity.
