LG has launched the metallic variant of its G4 flagship in India, priced at Rs. 40,000. The new metallic variant of the LG G4 will be available in Titanium Black and Gold.

The South Korean firm earlier this month slashed the price of its G4 flagship smartphone in India to Rs. 45,000 for the Leather Back variant, and Rs. 40,000 for the Ceramic White variant. To recall, LG launched its flagship smartphone in June with a price tag of Rs. 51,000. The LG G4 metallic variant features identical specifications as the original G4.

To recall, the LG G4 features a 5.5-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560) IPS Quantum display with a pixel density of 538ppi; a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz; 3GB of RAM; 32GB inbuilt storage; expandable storage support up to 2TB via microSD card; a 3000mAh removable battery; a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 lens, and an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 lens. The LG G4 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with LG's new UX 4.0 on top.

Announcing the new variant, Deepak Jasrotia, Business Head, LG Mobiles India, said, "We have always believed in offering only those products to our consumers that complement their style in making a statement. The G4's leather back was a step in that direction and we've taken it to the next step with this metallic variant of G4. The G4 is our most ambitious product of 2015 and we hope the consumers will continue to show their love for this smartphone, now in an all-new metallic avatar."

Apart from the G4, LG India had also slashed price of its G4 Stylus smartphone. The LG G4 Stylus, which arrived at Rs. 24,990 last month, will now cost Rs. 21,000.
