OnePlus has announced a launch event on October 29, where the company can be expected to reveal the long-rumoured OnePlus Mini aka OnePlus X.

The Chinese company is set to hold events in London, India, Beijing, and Jakarta among others. The simultaneous events were confirmed by specific social handles of OnePlus in countries including India (Twitter), China (Weibo), Indonesia (Twitter), and global (Twitter).

OnePlus on its official Chinese site also said it will start taking reservations for attendees for the October 29 event, which is scheduled to kick off at 4:30pm local time.

The official teaser image includes image of a letter 'X' lit with a dark background clearly hinting at the arrival of OnePlus X. Recently, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had teased the 'X' name for the next smartphone in a Weibo post.

The yet-to-be-announced OnePlus X was recently spotted at Tenaa with images sporting slightly different design than the current OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. Three capacitive buttons were seen placed below the display and the side bezels were said to sport a metal build, according to Tenaa leaked images. The company is said to price the upcoming OnePlus X (aka Mini) at $250 (approximately Rs. 16,500) and start availability in November or December.

Just ahead of OnePlus confirmation about the launch event, the OnePlus Mini (aka OnePlus X) was briefly listed by Amazon India with specifications.
